Why would a guitar player hack bassist play an unlined board?

Was just dialing in a bass patch on my HX Stomp XL and man Its a shame to not play this thing more. Some day I hope to become if not a real bass player, at least a darn good guitarist at bass.

I ended up bypassing the amp models settings up a heavy compressor with a slow attack, some EQ intended to nod at the GK thing. I did put a 4 voice chorus with a HPF at like 300hz on a stomp switch but i doubt I'll use it.

A 60hz HPF, a slow heavy compressor with a pick , an 80hz dip, a 400hz scoop, and a generous broad 3khz bump and man this thing is a hoot.

The key to playing fretless of course being slide into everything so noone hears you miss. šŸ˜ (Told you I was a guitar player) Stick me in a muddy mix in F# and it won't be pretty, but when its just me noodling I think it sounds pretty danged good.
