Well - after years of talking about it I started the switch to air tools - slowly where it makes sense. Brad nailer and a caulk gun for an upcoming project making LOADS of helmholtz resonator traps for a church. Some tools electric makes sense - definitely screwdriver/drills but brad nailers? The windup kills me. They're supposed to go bam bam bam bam. Not whirrrr kachunk bam.

I'm seriously thinking during my bonus room reorg I might run a 1/2" copper pipe down into the garage, put a 5gal air tank upstairs under the bench, and then an 1/8" manifold to run blow guns/air brushes and 1/8 die grinders at the electronics/guitar workbench. Nothing heavy but those are tools where air just makes sense.

"The right tool for the job" comes into play here.
Sometimes it's hand,
Sometimes it's electric,
Sometimes it's air.

Our family used to go to the TX Renaissance Festival every year. It is a BIG event, and we had a great time there. It has been a few years since we went to the Colorado event - it's about a 90 minute drive and we have to go through the middle of Denver to get there - and it's maybe half the size of the TX event. Our daughters are now 36 and 27, and their schedules are busy. They'd probably go again if the old man pushed a bit. I miss "Ded Bob" and some of the other acts.

Here's a shot of the ren fair mugs we collected over the years. TX ones are on the left side, lighter colored. The CO ones are on he right side, and darker colors.

The one in CA was big. In Devore, I think.
The one out here will be a side show by comparison, but I want to go at least once.

Yesterday, the brother and his g/f came over and brought dinner.
We ate, we drank, we played games.
Night was going well.
Then something happened.
Can't even remember the specifics, but likely due to the g/f saying or doing something.
A switch flipped in my head, and I just said "done" and bailed for the evening.
I like my brother's g/f for the most part, but it's not the first time she's done something to set me off, so not remembering specifics isn't a surprise.
