I'd tend to agree with but I have bumped into a few on other forums that absolutely hate the looks of that bridge. But then they hate the look of my Babicz Bridges too so whatta they know right?
The only issue I have with the saddle-lock, is the tall saddles, and thicker baseplate.
It makes getting my desired action impossible without shimming.

Yeah, I getcha on that. That's why I use that Babicz Bridge on my Squiers. The cam design allows me to lower the strings more effectively. It looks like the one the owner of that G&L bass used a bridge with a similar design.

While G&L could surely improve upon the Saddle-Lock saddle design I don't see them ever altering something that was Leo's "baby".

If the saddles had deeper grooves, it would certainly help.
That might be accomplished with a little machining or simply finding something to cut them deeper. Amy probably has a laser cutting tool around that might do it. Then we can all sent our saddle to him for alterations....LOL.
