The consistently best thing about G&L basses?
The finishes! I've yet to see a bad one and the flake and bowling ball options are awesome. 2nd best thing is being able to order a feather weight.
Fret work, tone of the JB models, pots, knob installation, and the ability to get custom order right? Not so much.

Not even going to get into pots. I have two and they work. The knobs come off too which is a plus.

UPS tracking said the L2k was going to arrive on Tuesday. I was out this afternoon and missed the brown truck I didn’t know was coming today by 5 minutes. Meh.

For those with SB2s, what are your pickup heights set to?

Mine is 3/16" under the split and 1/8" under the single--same for all four strings. That's what my luthier set them to, and they sound fine so I haven't messed with them.
