I'm going out on a limb to say that either Jack made a fortune on every one sold, or that any pedal maker would have to be a magician to get the audio quality out of cheaper parts and a lesser build assuming a $300 price point.

The parts in there are crazy expensive. Could I have cut corners on parts cost? Maybe.
