Was guided here at a friend's recommendation after alluding to dabbling in music years ago. I have a bit of a discerning taste, but like a bit of all music in most any genre from jazz to the old 40s-50s classics to old soul, rock and roll, heavy metal, rap, you name it. Over 20 years ago, a bender led to becoming a karaoke regular, and you never knew what I might do -- Dion and the Belmonts, Days Of The New, Van Morrison, Alice In Chains... I wound up writing some original songs and self-arranged / recorded / produced /mixed / mastered my demo (circa 2005-2011). My sound influences are, well, it's kinda hard to say. If anyone is interested in checking it out, I can post a link for some (sketchily done) lyrics videos for tracks on my YouTube channel.

For those wondering about the recording name, I chose Allergic To Air because in a nutshell, I have ridiculous allergies and asthma, which I am just recently discovering is quite possibly linked to Sensory Processing Disorder (likely), which is linked to Autism Spectrum Disorder (damn near certainty) or Asperger's (likely). Dust, ragweed, pollen, trees (not just their pollen, the wood -- SERIOUSLY --- who the hell is is allergic to TREES, FFS?) JFC, I should have called myself AAA for Asperger's, Asthma, and Allergies.

It is my kyrptonite -- in particular, I can't be anywhere near smoke or even the smell of it -- it's like Chernobyl to me -- my lungs burn, my airway slams shut and I wind up with bronchitis that takes longer to get rid of every time I'm exposed. So, yeah, I really am allergic to air. The music is more or less hard rock with some rap on certain tracks.

Welcome! Good stuff on your YT channel. Judging by your tunes and karaoke resume, you have some like-minded folks here.
Good tunes!
Thanks for the kind words -- it's greatly appreciated -- especially since I was a one-man band, doing everything but drums with an multi-effects pedal, a keyboard, studio microphone and a 24-track recorder. In addition to the music that not many seemed that interested in at the time, I've written fiction in the crime / law / mystery genre (inspired by events that happened to me) that was heavily pirated to the point I have seen evidence that it has robbed me of $100k in royalties.

Even though Amazon Kindle had exclusive distribution, they did nothing. It amazes me how many people will spend $40 on gourmet lattes in the few days it takes them to read a book, but refuse to pay $3 for the book. Which has shelved two sequels showing just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Just goes to show, you can't fix stupid. Maybe with a baseball bat, but I'm not even sure that will work.

Duct tape will muffle the sound though.

I'm in that same boat with the allergies. I was tested for 40 common allergens and I lit up like a Christmas tree; reacted to all but four of them. So I feel your pain. Will take a listen to your stuff. Welcome aboard!

I feel sorry for you... My life is hell and most people don't take that seriously. To me, the world is a gas chamber that never clears.

It's not too bad for me, thankfully. I take double antihistamines daily and also take this stuff at least 4x a day, which works wonders.

As long as I stay up on these meds, I'm pretty good. During heavy pollen season I double up on the quercetin and take 2 pills three times daily

I'm on not one, but TWO nebulizer treatments and Singulair. So far, I'm not seeing a great deal of improvement other than reducing the amount of crap I cough up on a daily basis. My peak flow should be somewhere around 600-615 liters airflow per minute, but it's more like 250-300 untreated, maybe 400-450 on a good day. Bad flare-ups get me as low as 105-175, and I've woken up unable to breath from acid reflux before. It's a wonder I'm still alive.

Word to the wise -- until I got some real medication, vanilla ice cream and menthol cough drops helped a lot -- and they still do when my medication is unavailable.

Jesus bro! I actually know few folks with similar ailments, allergies, and diagnosis!

Glad you made it in... yes, as @mktrat said, to the often-drunken-insanity. How the Hell did you become a Well-Known Corn in 3 hours? Cripes... that's a record.

Have you tried an ACV regimen?
