I don't need any more basses (10), and certainly no more P/Js (4), but dammit, this is just my kind of ugly:

If that was my bass I'd feel compelled to wear this suit and drive this car.

Believe it or not, G&L and Mesa kinda cured me of GAS. Prior to our issues with G&L, I was merely days away from pulling the trigger on another kilo, and that would likely have been followed by at least two more... but while I didn't mind dropping $2500 on a B, I wasnt willing to do it when risk was involved.

Then came the Geezer bass... which the manufacturer was unable to get... and the Epiphone Picasso Explorer... and the Strategy 88, which Mesa discontinued 3 days after they told me that they wouldnt.

So... Now with two of the best G&L's ever made, and me faithful olde battle bass, the Mesa PH412, a Heritage SVT head, a VB4, and three powered QSC cabs/ bass amps... i reckon that I already have more than I deserve.

Would like a Quilter Bloc, some day, but Im more likely to stick a potato in my shorts and do a swimsuit calendar, than I am to buy one.

I had flareups on and off for the Subway Wd800 and TT amps but since getting my 400+ back (thanks @Rawnchy R&R!) that’s dissipated. Would still like to try em though.

I wanted an L2000 as a companion to my L2500 but my recent neck experience has me trigger shy on used G&Ls in general.

Had gas for a Spector forever but getting one cleared that up. Its a comfortable instrument for other people.

With two great P basses, two G&Ls with stable necks, and considering whats happening with prices on used instruments, I’ll take a daily gas-x and call it good.

The first 45 seconds of this makes me want an option ordered L-2000 in alder/ebony, black w/matching headstock, 1-5/8" nut width, 9.5" radius, vintage frets, dot inlays.

Then I remember, G&L would be building it.
The first 45 seconds of that makes me want to be an oriental panty liner, then I remember she's Tommy Chongs sister.

Tim, have you ever played one? I have the Korean version from the 80's with US electronics and it's a beast. Then I got in a car accident am OK but my back doesn't like the way the Spector hangs. That tiny little body is a groove but the neck gets pulled farther back towards my body which is uncomfortable now. Other than the HAZ clone pre-amp taking a dump and zero support from Spector, it really is a good instrument.

Holy phuuuuuc!!!. I would never buy a G&L based on that video. Sounds like a stainless steel bumble bee. I'll translate what she says if I got my Japanglish down tight it I think it goes something like this.
This wonderful instrument our dearly departed Freddy Fender developed for to enjoy with elation on precise product is to give many tonal option but to me I can use only treble. So many wonderful option but I only find treble. If to buy this product we wish to you please make reference to anothers video and perhaps you can discover better bass player and to sample low end. Thank you.

I've played three different Spectors (two were P/J Euros, the other was a Rebop with dual humbuckers and I'm not sure where it was made). I also have a Streamer LX, which is close in shape and P/J tone. One of the P/J Spectors I tried had a Haz clone--a pretty neat trick for a lefty. It sounded amazing--I went out and bought my Streamer after playing it once. So I already know I'm a big fan of the shape and the general tonal character.

That's a bummer about your accident. I'm surprised your back has more trouble with the Spector than, say, an FSO. That's interesting.
