I’m very good at building stuff that does that. There’s a market for it? Who knew.

I prefer the former.  But I respect the latter.

There's something about this that's so black, it's like how much more black could this be?

Actual footage of the tone I get from my Magellan 800:

So you’re saying it sounds like ass?

Or maybe that you sound like a pussy?   (kidding, like that amp but you opened the door)

Okay, that didn’t go over as well as I thought it would.

If anyone ordered merch, it went out last night, so keep your eyes peeled. I have tracking info that I’ll send ASAP

First, whack the driver, then, off the passengers. I want everyone in the car whacked off.

This was posted in the wrong forum, but the underwear gif was too distracting

I hate me. My SVT-CL head hasn’t been turned on in nearly a year. That 85lb. pig sits on the bottom shelf of a book case while the SVT-IIP preamp get the work with the power section of an MBF800.  For some reason (presumably because I’m still weak and recovering) I decided to plug it in last weekend.

What the hell have I been thinking. Best amp I’ve ever heard. The King. 3-D clear, thick, and kicks like a mule. First time ever I brought the volume from 12:00 to 2:30 and the master down from wide open to about 2:00. It’s night distorted at all but very aggressive; I really like this.

Never had any reason to use a compressor with a tube amp. Tried a Photon Death Ray just as a goof and with really light compression and it makes each note a little more even in volume but also just adds some “kick ass”. Even without crossing threshold, there is something something going on. More punchy and bad ass.

I’ve got a 48 lb cabinet (BG 2×12) which I carry easily, either a 7.5 or 8.5 lb bass, and now an 85 lb head?

SVT – the crack of bass amps. Makes no sense yet you got to have it….   And the thought of asking a band mate to help carry this thing into a club where I might walk out with $75 or $100 knowing replacement power tubes will be about $250? Insanity. I know this. Who’s with me?

I didn’t see it until today, because I never come to this thread.

One of the stupidest things younger me ever did was get rid of the old Magnovox  Ampeg SVT blue line/ 8-10 fridge. it even had the stupid speaker cord for the cab.

Yes, but you have to collect UPC seals from select Kelloggs brand cereals. Gibson agents are vigorously securing parts sourcing for the new heads.

Current eh?  Then I’m limited to the two of each I have now.

    1. TC Electronic RH750 head (courtesy of R3)
    2. Carvin BX 500 head used but mint
    3. Epifani UL Series II 2×12 cab
    4. Epifani Performance Series 1×12 cab

To get to three I’d have to reach back in time to my Ampeg SVT III head (not a III Pro) and a Hartke 4.5XL cab.  That was a nice match as well.  I like the current cabs better but those old SVT III heads were great amps.

Yeah, wholly different head and it’s just one more thing I regret selling in order to finance my collection of empty booze bottles.

You can’t find IIIs for sale very often.  Tons of III Pros though.  Ampeg really phuc’d that move up.
