Yeah, I know Garrett. Marco was running some things by me the other day that I guess were related to that bass. I’ll ask him for more details when I go over there this weekend. I don’t think it has my electronics in it, probably.

We drive Version2.0 to Arkansas tomorrow. He will be moving into a solo dorm and finishing out his freshman year on campus. He wanted sushi for his final dinner in town so we called our favorite sushi restaurant and chowed down.

We drive Version2.0 to Arkansas tomorrow. He will be moving into a solo dorm and finishing out his freshman year on campus. He wanted sushi for his final dinner in town so we called our favorite sushi restaurant and chowed down.

Yep. Screw point to point wiring and the horse it rode in on. Most people have no idea what actual point to point wiring looks like anyway.

Nah, carry on my man. It’s not like I actually care about retro fetishization or anything. There’s plenty of old carp out there for those who don’t want to buy new carp.
But anyhow, real point to point wiring is also known as “dead bug” style, and it’s anything but pretty or easy to work on.
Yeah… I don’t know why “wiring” seems to have such a DIY/ Self-professed expert following… As opposed to other trades (like carpentry and plumbing).
Whenevr I was on TB and would see a newb asking “how to”, you would always see Einstein-style, lengthy replies, as if some 16 year old newb was going to understand it.
Electronics have easily improved for the better, but that seems to constantly be confused with design efficiency. Having a 6 gauge wire is not better, unless it’s on a circuit which requires it.
I do think that holding on to the old ways, has its place. I feel like tubes give me a different “feel”, which I can’t explain, but don’t need to. They still make tube amps, so I buy them. Why make SS sound like tubes, when tubes are on sale now in your grocers freezer?
