There's something about this that's so black, it's like how much more black could this be?

When things normalize a lot of guitars are going to flood the used market.

Only so I can buy more.

    killer intro!!!

I can play some pretty interesting lines and licks, but I’m not confident that I would ever be able to reproduce that.  And it’s damn cool.

You know what?  Those little iReal Pro tracks don’t sound too horrible when you import the midi into something with decent sounds.  I was messing around with recording vocals today because ultimately I’m also hoping to get my voice back into shape.  I think I’m getting there.  These are just the MIDI tracks from iReal Pro using sounds in Logic.  The kick drums need to be tweaked way back, but I didn’t really care to take the time for this little demo.  Not horrible, really.

This is just raw audio on the vocal with a touch of compression and reverb, no EQ or pitch correction or anything else.

Am I the only one here who doesn't have a signature?

Thank you.  I’m getting there.  I play bass parts, too, but for this exercise I just wanted to sing over whatever was already there.  Maybe next week I’ll take that bass part out and put my own in, though mine aren’t as flashy 🙂

Thank you.  There are things I still don’t have enough control over in my voice, but just in a week of working on it every day it’s gotten a lot better.

I’ve had a couple of tequila drinks. How bad will my day be tomorrow if I have a solid 4 fingers of bourbon later?

I’m doing this with the Bach. I’m really getting down with the metronome, as my teacher suggested. It’s making a world of difference. I’m almost ready to record.

Depends on how long you wait!  I had a little vodak so I’m holding off on another for a while lest I become inebriated, which can lead to all sort of debauchery, like extra basses.  As we all know.

Cool, nice job. I’m going to take a stab at exporting .mid files out of Band In A Box into my iPad and making a few playalong files I can run into the Aux in on my bass rig. I used to have a killer soft sampler in my old WinXP PC but I’ve never bothered to try setting one up in my Win10 box. Even what’s in Garage Band would be a big improvement over General MIDI, for sure.
