Let me know if you’re interested.
I very well may be. I can hunt down another black mini DPDT toggle for the active/passive option, or use the existing mid switch. I’m thinking the existing pots can be utilized in the new configuration.
Just send it to Heff for the soldering…

I’m about to test my soldering skills by building an MXR Envelope Filter clone if my latest offer on TB isn’t accepted.

You can do it, Jethro!
I offered a TB member $120 for a Broughton HPF/LPF. He wanted $140 for it.
My thought is one third off what I can get it for new… ~$180.
Could I have afforded the extra $20? Yes, but where is the victory in that?
Serious, we can rationalize our way into and out of anything.

January 5, 2021 at 3:31 pm #165135ESCO (Electronic Supply Co) is pretty close to Slipstream’s rehearsal space, so hopefully they can hook me up with a couple of switches.
It’s times like this where you really miss Radio Shack, and the fact they wouldn’t have stocked it, either.

January 6, 2021 at 12:54 pm #165342Update: Spoke to Rod, at ESCO here in town. After looking at the pics I sent, he commented it looked as though the switch was painted black.
Okay.
But… he does have the switches I need, but only in chrome. Let’s see…
Gold tuners and bridge, black knobs, and chrome mini toggles… that is so ghetto kick-ass, I might just do it. And I can get two switches for the price I’ve seen for just one black one… you know, the painted ones.
Paint must be expensive, these days.

Seems legit.
There's something about this that's so black, it's like how much more black could this be?
And the answer is none. None more black. -Nigel Tufnel2 users thanked author for this post.

2020 was bad enough. I don’t want to relive you cremating your bridges!

January 7, 2021 at 11:23 am #165568Decided to go with these guys. They’re a small shop out of Dorr, which is a small township in western Michigan. Cheryl helped process my order, and was extremely helpful and friendly. She also mentioned using the one time code ‘NC15’ at purchase and you’ll receive 15% off your order.

I bought two black ON-ON mini dpdt toggle switches, and if that doesn’t work space wise, I also purchased a 500K push-pull volume pot, which can also handle switching between active and passive, and hopefully no extra drilling.

Ha! I thought you were speaking metaphorically about “burning one’s bridges” until I read up a little higher. Oh. Like, you meant it literally.
Man, my noggin is running half its cores at half speed today and the remaining cores are off.

January 8, 2021 at 11:00 pm #165955I noticed on the wiring diagram for an OBP-3 with an active/passive switch, to consider the values used for both blend and volume audio pots… dependent on which pickups are used. The SR805 uses MK1’s. Sent an email to Bartolini, as I couldn’t find the info, on my own.
I’m thinking it’s safe to use what’s in there, already… I just don’t know how dependent it is on the pre, if any.

What’s in there now? I’d use either 250k or 500k depending upon the pickups. Volumes/blend come before the OBP-3, so should be treated the same as any passive bass.
I still haven’t made it to the PO- I’m sorry! Soon, I promise!!!!
