My daughter bought me this sheet for the grill. It doesn’t take open flame but withstands temps up to 500°F. She wrapped some asparagus and cheese with Prosciutto to start our meal tonight.

That’s one of my all time favorite apps to make. Everybody loves them! I’ve tried them with goat cheese or regular old cream cheese- delicious.

That sounds very tasty. My allergy to cantaloupe kills that, however! It’s an oddly specific allergy.

It works with honeydew, too, so long as they are ripe.

I have some of those. Amazing flavor. We also got a bag of peppers in the farm basket delivery today.

Right??? I love cherry tomatoes but I’ve never tasted anything remotely like these. These are magical tomoatoes.

In my world those are tomatillos. Pan fry with husk on to soften, removehusk and wash. In blender  add lime, orange juice, orange chunks, green onion, and hot pepper of your choice. Voila, salsa for fish tacos.

They have an interesting pineapple-like flavor when eaten fresh. I didn’t expect that.

Yep, kind of a citrus hit too. That aspect riffs especially well with habaneros. We grow em, they’ve done pretty well this year considering.

Pan fry with husk off for a slight char. Tomatillo salsa is a staple down here. I used to work with a Mexican cook who made the best hangover cure: boiled tomatillos, serranos, and garlic puréed and seasoned with salt, mashed into a corn tortilla with a hard boiled egg. He put enough serranos in there to start a wild fire. It was incredible.

The genuine Mex restaurants around here have lots of bespoke house recipes for green table sauces. Serranos are  the most coomon pepper choice by far. A mild vinegar element seems pretty common too, I like ACV.
