Mom took us all out to the nicest, fanciest interior Mexican food joint in town to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Damn it was good. I had a beer and two mezcal margaritas. After the second Rita I am pretty much hallucinating. They made them right and the waiter even poured me a floater on the second round.
Dinner was a an adobo marinated pork chop with grilled veggies, peppers, and a molé sauce made with ancho, pasilla, cascabel, mulatto, and guajillo chiles, almonds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and olive oil. Aye chihuahua it was so good and had the best slow burn I’ve ever had.
