Hey folks. There’s been a ton going on lately which has kept me MIA. looked and saw that I missed 15 pages here so apologies if I don’t catch up on those. Hope everyone’s good.
I think EVERYONE is swamped!

Dad has been in the hospital for two weeks... one day he's dying, then next he's fine.
Im back in school.
Work is insane!!
I have two part time jobs that take up 2-3 nights a week.
Im trying to finish putting the GTO back together, but I'm plagued with set-backs and problems.
Im trying to finish my building, so that I can renovate the house.
I injured my left arm/ hand and it's killing me.
The new band is practicing weekly and a going to be playing out soon.
I inherited a 74 Harley, which was in the middle of being rebuilt, and I have to go pick it up an hour away, and then finish it.
I'm handling a move for my mother, that will require me to build a new house this summer.
Im finishing the shooting range, because all of my firearms permits will expire soon, and if one does, they all do, so I need to get re certified.
My mother wants me to come pickup the grill she bought and doenst like. Its the size of a Hyundai.
I have to make an Easter basket.
I have to help throw a surprise party.

That's just what Im doing today.

Laying out my control panel and wiring. Waffling between analysis paralysis (default mode) and just winging it and regretting it. I'm happy with the way my panel looks on paper. But wiring it all up inside in a logical manner is frying my brain. I mean I know what the parts are and whats hooked up to what. But wiring layout and what physically makes those connections in a way that looks like it was done by amateurs and not vandals... that's the hard part.

My sister steps were interested in being involved with dad for a hot minute, then dropped it when the moment passed. Dad is continuing to decline. Visits with him are not fun at all anymore. The only clear things he communicates is wanting to go out, home, shopping, whatever. Other than his next neurologist appointment, I don’t plan on bringing him anywhere. He has no awareness of his surroundings at all and he can barely walk without his feet tangling. He can’t follow simple instruction and can’t remember anything 2 seconds after it happens. He’s really starting to withdraw now.

Work has been unsatisfactory lately. It’ll get better. Wifey is job searching again. After one year back in the classroom, she’s called it quits. Had the Perc test at the house last week so they can design a new septic system. Score is the land leaches really fast so the new system should come in at the lower end of cost.

On the plus side. My daughter tore through her first year of college. Kid is impressively smart and motivated. She just landed an on campus job for the summer so she won’t be returning to the speedway gig this year. Another plus, I sold off one of the two cars that needed to go. Plan is to throw the Vette out there on line soon and hope for the best.

wiring is simple and complicated. looking at a mess of wires can be intimidating. not my favorite
chore.

Hang in there with your dad. I know it’s hard and I see it every day. You probably already know this and I’ll say it anyway. When you visit him just go where his mind goes. There is no need to redirect or correct. Follow along as best and as far as you can.

That’s what I’ve been doing. Most of the time is spent just being with him. Which he either notices or he doesn’t.

The drummer from Sixpence None The Richer is local, took lessons from him a while back. My son was like 3 - and one day at the barber shop Kiss Me comes on the radio. I told him Mr Dale played that. The next song up was TUTR and he thought he must've played that one too. I can see him flailing the snare drum overhand.
I was always kinda shocked to realize that was as early 80's as it was - it sounds more like -86-87 to my ears.
