Skating in Dorchester again. They had races tonight. My son (#99) came in third but the first-place finisher cut inside a pole, so #99 got promoted to #2.

Gotta confess that I entered the 18+ race just for fun.
Two guys were so much faster than me that it wasn't even funny.
The first-place finisher did a flip after crossing the line. A FUCKING FLIP.
The other guy in front of me tried to do a flip across the line but crashed and burned, leaving me with a the (imaginary) silver medal.
I wish I'd had one of the kids record that one.
