I kinda of did the same thing but I was much younger, I posted about it a while back that I restored a '67 then bought a '68 convertible and gave them up for a house and family life...the greater good. So after thirty years my wife was actually the one pushing me to buy my '65 when I found it. Your knowledge and experience and advice to this amature hack on the gto forum has been invaluable and I hope you stay active even if it's hard when everyone's talking about their cars but we need people like you...it takes alot to do what you did.....and I'm sure you'll get another one some dayWell I sold the goat to cover some expenses and to get the wife a new wedding ring. I got a good price and it did go to a good home thankfully! I know I will probably never get another one. But having it for the last 13 years had some good memories! I chose this forum over the other one because of the members here is the ones that need to know There might be a corvette in the future I hope View attachment 1253

I hear ya , I like the C4 especially the ZR1! But for me it’s a C3 . Dad bought a 75 new and I fell in love with it. I owned a 79 back about 30 years ago. So for me which when I get it will be my last oneThere’s one out there with your name on it. I like the earlier C4 s as well. The later cars became a bit bloated in my opinion. The lines were much cleaner on the old ones.
For the record, I USED TO BE on the Corvette forum daily, just as with the GTO, and man... those fuckers are some real DOUCHE BAGS! You had to murder if you wanted a thanks, and unless you were the President of Cars, you couldnt get a response to save your life. Thanks Baaad, I thought working on that Q-Jet back in the summer was going to do me in! Well if you do get a C# we have three hardcore C3 fanatics in here... and I've completely rebuilt them, including trailing arms and complete suspension.I hear ya , I like the C4 especially the ZR1! where people come first.
YOU LEAVE GOD OUT OF THIS!Just as God and ur mom intended
Oh crappers. I meant I liked the earlier C3s better. Was 74 the only year with the split rear bumper? As for the C4s, the later cars were way better than the first couple years. The late 70s through late 80s was a pretty sad time for the Corvettes. The one I’m stabling is an 81. Only good thing is it is not a CA car so it has a 350 in it. Still it may be the worst year except for the 82 and 84 with the dreaded crossfire injection.I hear ya , I like the C4 especially the ZR1! But for me it’s a C3 . I think at least one year, the plastic rear was 2 piece. Basically, split in the middle. I could be wrong on this.73 was no chrome front bumper and a split chrome rear. 74 was no chrome... the end of days. 70, 71, and 72 were the best for looks, 68 and 69 for performance.
Easier cob insertion with this design.I think at least one year, the plastic rear was 2 piece. Basically, split in the middle. I could be wrong on this.
It's something that I try to forget.I think at least one year, the plastic rear was 2 piece. Basically, split in the middle. I could be wrong on this.
Just confirming I'm still a gerk. Tee Hee Hee...Better here than thatsmallermicro penis I mean corvette forum lol
Kinda like those naked pics of Bea Arthur you found in the glove box of your GOAT?It's something that I try to forget.
I've never driven one so maybe I wouldn't like it but a 69-72 rag top with side pipes just looks amazing !I've had two - a 72 ragtop and an 84. The 72 was crazy fast and the 84 was not, but it handled well and was a good daily driver. This was in the early 90s.
