My Spyderco is getting a lot of use opening gifts this weekend.

Any tips for cleaning the blade? That gunk is kinda stubborn.
I just use dish soap on mine. I try to confine the water to the dirty parts (i.e., I avoid letting it go into the crevices between the blade and the scales), get the tape gunk off, then dry it before I fold it shut.

My Spyderco was the official box opener as well.

@Jeff Preston

We could work something out for you to get a solid USA made pocket knife.

Any particular specs besides USA made that you would like? Larger blades or smaller? Flippers with frame locks or liner locks? Blade shapes? Let me know!
Smaller blade is fine. Maybe 3”-ish. Flipper with liner lock and either a tanto or drop point blade. Like I said, it’s not a huge rush. No extra cash right now and other priorities once I get some.

You can find knives here from nearly free to the price of a decent used car!

I added one to my collection. I don't *carry* these, so I like to have one on each floor of the house :p I also wanted one with a point more precise than the Spyderco, but easier to open than my old Buck. And whadyaknow, Buck has a newer S30V / G10 flipper:

I reverse all my clips because I'm a lefty, right?. The new one isn't reversible but I reversed it anyway because phuc'em.
