Those Gerbers are the best!!!! I carry one in each car and my backpack too

Maybe 20 years ago I was told that the quality was not as good and that they didn't hold an edge like the used to.
You guys find Gerber's to be quality?
I'm happy with my Puma's but always looking.

Any tips for cleaning the blade? That gunk is kinda stubborn.

I just use dish soap on mine. I try to confine the water to the dirty parts (i.e., I avoid letting it go into the crevices between the blade and the scales), get the tape gunk off, then dry it before I fold it shut.

My Spyderco was the official box opener as well.

wd-40. olive oil, lacquer thinner. many things would work.

that knife is made in jacksonville al. i have been to the factory. haven't thought of that place in years.

I added one to my collection. I don't *carry* these, so I like to have one on each floor of the house I also wanted one with a point more precise than the Spyderco, but easier to open than my old Buck. And whadyaknow, Buck has a newer S30V / G10 flipper:



I reverse all my clips because I'm a lefty, right?. The new one isn't reversible but I reversed it anyway because phuc'em.



Come on, guys, don't tease.



Yeah, still haven't cleaned the Spyderco.
