A lot of people will never forgive F1 for going from naturally aspirated V8s at 18k to turbo V6s at 12k.

i do like the sound. but reading about turbos they are impressive. i like that sound as well. i even envisioned a twin turbo set up on the 57 with two 4 barrel carbs each getting it's own turbo piped in. not sure what i would do with it but
it was fun engineering the plans in my head. basically get the fuel and tune right and the rest is plumbing.

Oh for sure.
Cons: quieter and doesn't sound as cool.
Pros: 750hp from a 1.6L engine that can do a two-hour race on a single tank of gas.

quiet is a plus if your trying to stay low profile. i believe fuel is the biggest con. octane for higher boost. but low boost and a pontiac engine with loads of torque already is a freight train.

Funny. One of the best sounding cars we’ve owned was the Mini Clubman S. I’d read somewhere that it didn’t have a muffler, but sound was controlled by the turbo and a resonator. At idle, it sounded close to a small cammed V8. For a small 4 banger, it had a deep tone. I could hear my wife about a minute before she pulled into the driveway. Funny thing is it was quiet inside the car.

We have one and can confirm, but what is completely unreasonable is the dump truck ride quality although it does corner very well.

Ride was a bit harsh to say the least. Picture that my wife and daughter drove it from MA to Iowa. I offered her my truck for the trip and she said no.

balancing the suspension with soft springs and sway bar tension seems to work well for most crappy roads.
tires a good sway bar and shocks can out handle a race suspension on the streets. it will absorb the imperfections of
of the poor paving jobs done by the lowest bidder. it really helps to know the roads very well. ive cleaned a few ditches in my youth.
