Yes, it is! I’m putting in for my week off as we speak. Is your dove opener September 1st?
Out here, if you don't know a private land owner, it's pretty tough to find a good spot anymore. I'm still working on it!!Yes, it is! I’m putting in for my week off as we speak.
Texas actually has some decent public land for dove (mainly because dove are everywhere). But if you know a private landowner it can help, as many of them will cultivate sunflower fields or such as attractants.Out here, if you don't know a private land owner, it's pretty tough to find a good spot anymore. do a smiley face. then have a nice day.Ready for the season with a 200 yard zero. The shots in the bull were at 25 yards. I dropped it 1/4” for the 200 yard zero. The wide top right shot was my bad (I pulled right). But that six shots in 4 holes. Otherwise known as a night with Boney’s mom.

How did Grandpa bag a 30-point buck while smoking a cigarette and eating a ham sammich, and I've gotta spend hundreds of dollars on ozone generators and activated charcoal, with silver-infused underpants for scent control?

tree stand. im no hunter but it might get you out of scent range. i see more on the side of the road at night. i get nervous driving past. they really screw up a car.But kinda serious - I'm heading up to deer camp this year. I skipped last year and literally everyone who was there got an 8 point. I can count on both hands the number of deer I've plain ol' seen at deer camp. The Michigan deer herd is evidently approaching crisis levels - they're handing out licenses like candy, and there are throngs of deer around the area we go.
I'm using an ozone generator and I always buy a fresh bottle of scent control/eraser every year (because I know that stuff has about a 12 month shelf life). Have any of y'all used things like the scent control deodorant or toothpaste?
You’re over thinking it. Make sure your gun shoots true, preferably with a 200 yard zero. Wear camo, go out two or three days early and find the game trails. On hunt day just fucking sit there and wait for your buck. But kinda serious - I'm heading up to deer camp this year. I skipped last year and literally everyone who was there got an 8 point. So that's sorta the thing - I've been deer hunting almost every year since I was old enough to carry a gun, and even a few years before that with a bow. I can count on 2 hands the number of deer I've plain ol' seen, and the number of deer I've had a clean shot at is 2. Technically, 1, but I saw her twice - come to find out, the scope on that rifle was absolutely not sighted in, so I missed that shot. You’re over thinking it.
